OIL OF SAINT RAIMUNDO OF FITERO

WATERCOLOR OUR LADY OF THE MARTYRS

The international painter Ms. Guillermina Sánchez Oró, born in Ceuta, but who for many years has considered herself to be from Murcia, has held more than 150 exhibitions of her realistic works in various places around the world, including the United States, Mexico and Italy.

Guillermina Sánchez Oró explains her inspiration by the spirit of Saint Raimundo de Fitero, founder of the Order of Calatrava in 1158, materializing this spiritual interiorization in a magnificent oil painting, which the author herself donated to the Order of the Knights Custodians of Calatrava la Vieja.

Year 1212

The Knight of the Order, Ms. Guillermina Sánchez Oró, ends with the reading of a poem that she herself has written, where she reflects on the figure of the Abbot founder of the Order of Calatrava, San Raimundo de Fiero.
